The book by Prof Diniz is indeed under the best on flexible signal processing. Well, usable examples are explained to most fundamental concepts given and practical applications will become also discussed. The chapter on flexible IIR filters is singular and cannot be still found not in any other book. In addition solutions can be achieved to the problems by ftp, which is something, which is very useful for class participants. Despite this an excellent book (star 5) is, the price is ridiculous, as arises with most titles of this publisher. If I were, Prof Diniz I Kluwer from the academic publishers would change to a more competitive publisher.
